Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Carl of Saxony facing right, wearing armour with decorative collar, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The portrait is rendered in a bold, slightly crude style characteristic of small copper coinage of the period. A beaded inner border surrounds the effigy. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, identifying the sitter by his titles.

Reverse description A crowned composition featuring two heraldic shields side by side: a curved shield bearing an eagle and a curved shield bearing an armoured horseman (the Pahonia), all surmounted by a ducal crown. The denomination inscription appears below the shields in the lower field. The whole design is encircled by a Latin peripheral legend giving the duke's territorial titles and the date 1762.
