Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of Doge Tommaso Mocenigo, crowned and robed in ducal vestments, holding the gonfalon (banner of Venice) in his right hand. The figure is rendered in a stylized Byzantine-influenced manner typical of Venetian hammered coinage of the early 15th century. A small star appears in the field, serving as the distinguishing mintmark for this variety. The peripheral Latin legend encircles the central device.
