Obverse description Bust of Doge Antonio Venier in left profile, depicted in ducal robes and horned corno ducale, holding a tall vexillum (banner staff) before him. A six-pointed star is positioned in the field to the left, in front of the Doge's face, serving as the distinguishing mintmaster or die-variety mark. The figure is rendered in the stylized, flat relief characteristic of late 14th-century Venetian hammered coinage. A Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery.
