| 背面描述 | The national coat of arms of Peru is displayed prominently at center, featuring the traditional tripartite shield with a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia, surmounted by a civic wreath. The denomination 'UN SOL' appears below the arms, with the date '2021' and the issuing authority's name encircling the design. Technical specifications including the silver fineness and weight are inscribed in the field. |

Peru's 2021 bicentennial program generated a substantial series of commemorative issues, of which this Sol forms part. The proclamation itself occurred on July 28, 1821, when José de San Martín declared independence in Lima — notably before Spanish forces had been fully expelled from the country. Actual military consolidation wouldn't come until Ayacucho in 1824.
The .925 fineness places this outside Peru's earlier commemorative silver standards, which frequently used .900.
