| Obverse description | A fasces surmounted by a Phrygian cap stands upright in the centre of the field, flanked on either side by a branch of oak leaves forming an open wreath. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1793 and the Republican calendar notation L'AN 2E appear along the lower border.
