| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Peru occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three quarters: a vicuña passant to the left on a white ground in the upper dexter, a cinchona tree on a white ground in the upper sinister, and a cornucopia overflowing with coins on a red ground in the base. The shield is flanked by a palm branch to the left and an olive branch to the right, both tied at the base with a ribbon, and surmounted by a civic wreath. The circular legend BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2017 inscribed at the base of the field. |

The Lima mint mark appears to the upper right. The numeral 1 is boldly incused to the lower left, accompanied by a circular security feature device. The legend CÓNDOR ANDINO arcs across the upper field in two lines, the binomial scientific name Vultur gryphus is inscribed vertically along the left margin, and the denomination SOL appears within a panel at the base. |
