Reverse description Central device comprising the quartered coat of arms of Andorra, displayed within a cusped, polylobed shield: the first quarter bears the mitre and crozier of the Bishop of Urgell on a field of vertical lines; the second quarter displays the vertical bars of the House of Aragon; the third quarter repeats the Aragonese bars; and the fourth quarter shows a bull passant, representing the Count of Foix. The shield is set within a decorative cartouche and is surrounded by the circular Latin legend ET DOMINVS VALLIVM ANDORRAE along the upper and lateral periphery and the Roman numeral date MCMLXXVII along the lower arc, all separated from the design by a beaded border. The engraver's initials S.J. appear in the lower field beneath the shield.
