正面描述 The state emblem of Uzbekistan, rendered in teal intaglio, occupies the left half of the note; it comprises a Humo bird with spread wings set before a rising sun, encircled by wheat sheaves and cotton bolls, with a crescent and star at the apex and a ribbon bearing the country name at the base. To the right, the country name ЎЗБЕКИСТОН is printed in large bold Cyrillic letters at the top, with the numeral 1 in oversized display type below and the denomination СЎМ beneath it. The issuer name ЎЗБЕКИСТОН ДАВЛАТ БАНКИ and the date 1992 appear in two lines at the lower right, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint in salmon and pale blue horizontal bands.

背面描述 A central vignette set within a scalloped cartouche presents an intaglio view of the Sherdor Madrasa on Registan Square in Samarkand, rendered in pale blue-grey, with its monumental iwan portal, flanking minarets, and tiled dome visible in fine architectural detail. Four stylised floral medallions in traditional Uzbek ornamental style, each enclosing the numeral 1, are symmetrically placed at the corners of the composition against a plain pale blue ground. The overall design is unlettered save for the repeated numeral 1 within the corner ornaments.

备注

Uzbekistan's first sovereign currency series, introduced in November 1993 after a brief period using Russian ruble coupons, reflects the improvised speed of post-Soviet monetary separation. The 1 so'm belongs to a set hurriedly designed and printed as the newly independent republic scrambled to establish a functioning payments system — the notes were ready before the political groundwork for full convertibility was anywhere near complete.

The watermark is rudimentary by any standard, a reflection of the limited security printing infrastructure available to the issuer at the time.
