| Reverse description | A large crowned Burgundian cross occupies the central field, with the initials A and E flanking the cross in the lateral quarters, identifying the joint reign of Archduke Albert and Archduchess Isabella. At the center of the cross, four interlocked loops arranged in cruciform fashion serve as the suspension points for pendant jewels of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The circumferential legend ARCHIDVCES AVST DVCES BVRG ET BRAB Z, abbreviated in the customary manner of the period, encircles the design. The overall composition is characteristic of the Spanish Netherlands real coinage struck under the Archdukes. |
