| Description du revers | A quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Austria-Burgundy, surmounted by an imperial crown and flanked by elaborate foliate or floral ornaments in the field, the whole set upon a long cross whose arms extend to the circumferential legend. The quarters display the characteristic horizontal bars of Austria and the lion of Burgundy, with an escutcheon at the base of the shield. The surrounding Latin legend DA · MIHI VIRTVTE CO · HOST ES · TVOS encircles the entire device, invoking divine strength against enemies.
