Obverse description Central field features the crowned arms of Reuss-Schleiz, depicting a rampant lion passant within a baroque shield surmounted by a princely crown. The shield is rendered in fine relief with decorative mantling. The circumferential legend reads FÜRSTENTHUM REUSS IÜNGERER LINIE, separated by a small star at the base. The overall design is characteristic of mid-19th century German States heraldic coinage.

Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination in three lines across the central field: the numeral 1 above SILBER GROSCHEN, all within a plain field. The date 1850 appears below the denomination, with the mint mark A (Berlin Mint) beneath it. The surrounding legend 30 EINEN THALER and SCHEIDE MÜNZE flanks the central inscription, indicating the coin's value as 1/30 of a Thaler and its status as subsidiary coinage. The typography is clean and well-struck, typical of Berlin Mint production of the period.
