Beschrijving voorzijde Irregular rectangular silver flan entirely bordered by a continuous row of raised globular pellets forming a decorative frame. Within the field, four Chinese characters in traditional regular script (kaisho) are struck in raised relief arranged vertically: 定 (jō, 'guaranteed') at the top, followed by 常銀 (jōgin, 'standard silver') in the centre, and 是座 (ze-za, 'this mint') at the lower register, collectively certifying the piece as authenticated silver of the Ginza (Silver Mint). The surface displays the characteristic hammered texture of Edo-period bullion coinage, with slight planarity variations consistent with hand-finished production.

Beschrijving keerzijde Irregular rectangular silver flan framed by a uniform border of raised globular pellets encircling the entire perimeter, consistent with the obverse treatment. Three Chinese characters in traditional regular script (kaisho) are struck in raised relief arranged vertically in the central field: 一 (ichi, 'one') at the top, 朱 (shu, the unit of denomination) in the centre, and 銀 (gin, 'silver') at the base, together reading 'One Shu Silver' and declaring the denomination of the piece. The hammered field shows slight surface irregularity typical of hand-produced Edo-period coinage.
