Obverse description Distinctive half-circle (semicircular) flan struck in hammered silver. The field is occupied by a dense ornamental composition in Devanagari script arranged within a decorated cartouche, surrounded by an intricate scrollwork border of stylised floral and foliate motifs. The entire design is enclosed within a raised beaded border that follows the semicircular periphery of the coin. The overall aesthetic is characteristic of late 18th-century Nepalese hammered coinage, with deeply incuse lettering and bold relief ornamentation.
