Obverse description Central field bears the quartered arms of Bronckhorst-Batenburg, surmounted by an ornate baronial crown. The shield displays heraldic charges including a lion rampant, rendered in the bold, somewhat crude style typical of hammered provincial coinage of the early seventeenth century. The date 1622 appears in the upper field flanking the crown. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery within a beaded border, reading MO · NO · AR · MA · CO · DE · BR · BAT · 1622·, abbreviating the issuing authority as Count of Bronckhorst and Batenburg.

Reverse description The reverse presents an elaborate crowned rose or floral ornament at center, composed of intertwining foliate and scrollwork elements radiating symmetrically from a central roundel, a design characteristic of the roosschelling type. The motif is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the Latin motto legend FIDE SED CUI VIDE (Trust, but take care in whom) disposed around the periphery. The entire design is executed in the hammerwork style, resulting in slightly irregular strike and planchet shape typical of minor baronial issues of the period.
