| Reverse description | A crowned cruciform shield of arms occupies the centre of the reverse, comprising the cross of St. George for England, the saltire of St. Andrew for Scotland, and the harp of Ireland, with an escutcheon at the fess point bearing the personal arms of Cromwell (a lion rampant). The shield is surmounted by a regal arched crown. The date 1658 is divided to either side of the crown at the top of the field, and the Latin motto legend runs around the entire periphery within a grained border. |
