Obverse description The Ugandan coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a Uganda kob antelope and a crested crane as supporters, with a representation of the sun and the waters of Lake Victoria on the shield. Two crossed spears appear behind the shield, and a scroll below bears the national motto FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.
