Popis líce	Right-facing crowned bust of King James I, depicted in the third bust style with a plain, full-face crown and ruffled collar visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic hammered style of early Stuart coinage, with broad facial features and a slightly elongated neck. The portrait is contained within an inner beaded circle, with the royal legend running between the inner and outer beaded borders. The overall design reflects the work of the Tower Mint engravers active at the opening of James I's reign.
