| Opis rewersu | Irregular octagonal hammered silver flan, concave in profile, with a central double beaded circle enclosing a cursive weight inscription identical in content to the obverse. The central field displays the abbreviated weight notation in cursive lettering, reading 'dwt gr' above and '3 21' below, separated by a small ornamental point or cross device. The wide flat border outside the beaded circle is plain and unadorned, characteristic of these emergency issues produced under the authority of Murrough O'Brien, 1st Earl of Inchiquin, from silver plate. The flan shows typical surface marks and porosity consistent with the emergency production methods employed during the siege period. |
