| Beschrijving keerzijde | Four crowned shields arranged in cruciform around a central star burst, representing the kingdoms of England (quarterly with Scotland), Scotland (lion rampant), France (three fleurs-de-lis), and Ireland (crowned harp), with the Electoral shield of Hanover at the centre of the cross. A rayed star or sun burst fills the interstices between the shields. The date is divided at the top of the design flanking the uppermost shield. The circumferential Latin legend, recording the king's full royal and electoral titles, runs around the entire periphery between fine dentilated borders. |
