| 背面描述 | A crowned lion sejant guardant, boldly rendered in high relief by George Kruger Gray, is enthroned atop a Tudor crown, holding a sword erect in its right paw and a sceptre in its left. To the left is the shield of St. Andrew (Scotland) and to the right a thistle emblem, flanking the date 1937 in the field with the mint-master's initials K and G to either side of the lion's body. The legend FID : DEF · IND : IMP arcs across the upper field, while ONE · SHILLING is inscribed along the lower periphery. The whole design is enclosed within a beaded border, and the proof surfaces display a sharp, mirror-like quality characteristic of Royal Mint pattern strikes. |
