| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal arms of England and Scotland are displayed on an ornate shield with elaborate scrollwork mantling, occupying the central field. The quarters display the three passant guardant lions of England (quarters one and four), the rampant lion of Scotland (quarter two), the fleurs-de-lis of France (quarters sharing with England), and the Irish harp (quarter three). The crowned royal cypher C R (Carolus Rex) appears above the shield, flanked by a mintmark. A beaded inner border encloses the design, with the Latin motto legend running around the outer periphery between inner and outer beaded borders. |
