Zimbabwe has not issued shilling-denominated coinage at any point in its post-independence history, having inherited a dollar-based decimal system from Rhodesia in 1980. The "Challenger 2" designation refers to the British main battle tank, part of a broader series of military vehicle coins produced for the collectibles market — not for domestic circulation.
