| Obverse description | Irregular quarter-circle hacksilber ingot of cast silver, the flat upper surface bearing a single incuse circular punch mark enclosing what appears to be the Hebrew letter Ayin (ע), impressed into the silver as a weight or ownership mark. The punch mark is roughly centered on the broad face of the ingot, with the surrounding field exhibiting the natural uneven texture characteristic of cast and cut silver. The edges of the piece are irregular, consistent with having been cut or broken from a larger silver bar or disk to achieve the standard one-shekel weight. |
