Popis líce Central cartouche bearing the royal titulature of Ahmad Shah Qajar in Arabic script, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The legend reads 'Sultan Ahmad Shah Qajar' arranged in multiple lines within the medallion. The field is framed by a wreath of oak leaves and floral sprigs extending around the full circumference. The Hijri regnal date 1342 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals at the base of the design, below the wreath. The overall composition reflects the restrained neoclassical style characteristic of late Qajar coinage.

Další informace

Ahmad Shah was thirteen years old when he took the throne in 1909, installed after his father Mohammad Ali Shah was deposed and exiled to Russia. He would prove to be the last Qajar ruler. The small silver shahis issued under his name circulated through a period of extraordinary instability — foreign occupation, famine, and the eventual 1921 coup that would bring Reza Khan to power and end the dynasty entirely by 1925.

KM#1047 is among the lowest-weight silver coins struck for Iranian circulation in the Qajar series.
