| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian legend in elegant Nasta'liq script, divided horizontally by a raised bar across the field. The upper portion bears the devotional and royal inscription referencing Shah Safi, while the lower portion displays the mint name Urdu and the regnal year 1039 AH in Persian numerals. The legends are arranged in three registers and fill the irregularly shaped flan to its margins, typical of Safavid hammered coinage. |
