| 正面描述 | Central field dominated by the Shi'ite kalima inscribed in flowing Nasta'liq-style Arabic script within a rectilinear square border. The declaration of faith occupies multiple lines within the cartouche, with marginal legends running along the outer border of the flan. The hammered fabric produces a characteristically irregular, slightly convex surface with uneven strike distribution across the field. |

Isma'il I established the Safavid state at Lahijan in Gilan province before his decisive campaigns southward, and the coins struck there during his earliest regal period represent the monetary output of a ruler who had not yet consolidated Persia. The Lahijan mint was active during a window of months, not years — once Isma'il seized Tabriz in 1501 and declared Twelver Shi'ism the state religion, production shifted to more central mints almost immediately.
Album 2576 is a broad type encompassing considerable variation in die work and weight standard across mints. A Lahijan attribution for this first standard places it among the earliest documented Safavid issues.
