| Reverse description | Reverse displays the Shi'a kalima in bold Nastaliq script arranged in multiple registers across the flan, proclaiming the Islamic declaration of faith together with the testimony to Ali as the Wali of God. The legend is disposed in horizontal lines separated by ruled borders, with the name Allah prominently rendered in the central field. The hammered flan shows the characteristic irregular outline and uneven surface texture consistent with hand-struck Safavid coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. The calligraphic execution reflects the established Safavid tradition of Shi'a confessional coinage introduced under Shah Ismail I. |
