Reverse description An upright trident occupies the center of the field, its shaft rising from the lower register with three tines projecting upward. A dolphin is depicted to each side of the trident, their bodies curving gracefully around the central device. A single pellet appears to the left and another to the right of the composition, serving as additional value indicators consistent with the sextans denomination. The design is rendered in the bold, stylized manner characteristic of Etruscan bronze coinage of the late third century BC.
