| Obverse description | The Bhutanese national emblem — a circular design featuring two dragons flanking a central lotus, thunderbolt, and jewel motif — occupies the centre of the field, enclosed within a raised border. The legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the date 1995 appears twice, flanking the emblem at the lower sides. An inscription in Dzongkha script (འབྲུག་ཡུལ།།) is positioned below the emblem along the lower rim. The overall design is executed in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field. |
