Aanvullende informatie

The 1 Sertum denomination was introduced by Bhutan in the 1970s as part of a royal coinage program designed explicitly for the collector market, with no meaningful domestic circulation. The 1982 issue falls within Jigme Singye Wangchuck's reign, which began in 1972 following his father's death — he was seventeen at the time of accession, making him one of the youngest ruling monarchs in the world at that point.

KM#56 was struck by the Royal Mint in limited numbers. Bhutan had no domestic gold refining or minting infrastructure capable of producing .917 gold coinage at this specification.
