Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck wearing the traditional Bhutanese raven crown (Druk Gyalpo crown), adorned with intricate decorative relief and surmounted by a raven figurine. A circular legend in Dzongkha script frames the upper field, while the date 1979 appears in the exergue below the portrait. The Druk script characters flanking the lower left field serve as additional royal designation.
