| Obverse description | Left-facing bust of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck wearing the traditional Bhutanese raven crown (Druk Gyalpo), adorned with intricate decorative motifs and surmounted by a raven head. The effigy occupies the central field with strong sculptural relief. A circular Dzongkha legend curves around the upper periphery, with additional script elements at the left. A Dzongkha legend arcs across the upper periphery within the border, while the Latin legend ROYAL GOVERNMENT OF BHUTAN curves along the lower rim, punctuated by raised dots, with the denomination 1 SERTUM inscribed at the right. |
