Obverse description A coiling dragon vignette occupies the right portion of the note, rendered in brown intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint. A red circular seal appears at center-left, flanked by the numeral "1" at both left and right margins. Japanese kanji inscriptions run along the top and bottom borders, identifying this as a Great Japan Imperial Government military scrip note.
