Reverse description Central field features a stylized makara — a mythological sea-dragon of Hindu-Buddhist iconography — depicted in profile facing left, rendered in low relief with detailed scaled and curled tail. Above the creature, arranged along the upper arc of the field, are three Kanji characters reading right to left: 本 日 大 (Dai Nippon, meaning 'Great Japan'). Below the makara, in the lower field, the Japanese Imperial year '2604' is inscribed in Arabic numerals. The design reflects the Japanese occupation's fusion of imperial symbolism with local Southeast Asian artistic tradition.
