Reverse description A raised circular disk dominates the central field, upon which a crescent and a knucklebone (astragal) are depicted in relief, serving as the value mark for the semis denomination. Below the raised disk, the civic legend of Iguvium is inscribed in archaic Umbrian script running along the lower portion of the field. The overall composition is bold and schematic, consistent with the cast aes grave tradition of central Italy, with the design elements arranged in a hieratic, emblematic fashion within a plain, slightly raised border.
Reverse script Umbrian
Reverse lettering IKUFINS
