附加信息

The Schleswig-Holstein Provisional Government existed for just three years, formed in the wake of the 1848 revolution and the duchies' armed uprising against Danish rule. The conflict — the First Schleswig War — ended with the London Protocol of 1852, which dissolved the government and returned the duchies to Denmark. Coinage struck under the Provisional Government was always politically charged, asserting a separate identity that Denmark refused to recognize.

This brass pattern was never adopted for circulation. The brass fabric itself is the tell — brass was not used for standard Schleswig-Holstein issues, marking this clearly as a trial piece exploring denominations that never reached the public.
