| Obverse description | Central field displays the heraldic shield of Lüneburg, featuring three towers above a demi-lion passant, all set within an irregularly struck flan. The mintmaster's initials 'JG' appear flanking the shield within the field. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading MONET CI LUNEBURG, separated by a beaded inner border. The style is characteristic of early seventeenth-century German municipal coinage, struck by the hammer method with consequent weakness and irregular relief. |

| Reverse description | The denomination is displayed prominently across three lines in the central field within a dotted inner circle, reading 'I / SHCS / LING' (abbreviation for 1 Sechsling). The outer legend, arranged around the beaded border, carries the inscription indicating municipal currency and the date, reading STAT GELT ANO 6ZZ (i.e., 1622). The entire design is characteristically crude and irregular, consistent with hammered municipal small coinage of the Kipper und Wipper period. |
