Reverse description A bold floriated cross with fleur-de-lis terminals at each arm dominates the central field, rendered in a decorative architectural style with a raised central boss at the crossing point. The cross is contained within a plain inner circle, beyond which the circumferential Latin devotional legend AVE CRVX SANCTA ET BENEDICT runs around the full periphery, punctuated by dot stops. The fleur-de-lis finials give the cross an elegant Gothic character consistent with the artistic conventions of early Italian Renaissance feudal coinage. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
