| 背面描述 | A finely engraved Holy Spirit dove with wings fully spread is depicted in the centre of the field, surrounded by an elaborate glory of radiating straight rays extending to the beaded border, evoking divine light and the invocation of the Holy Spirit during the interregnum. The upper arc carries the Latin legend VENI LVMEN CORDIVM, a quotation from the Veni Creator Spiritus hymn. The mint mark B appears in the lower exergue, indicating the Bologna mint for this emission. |

Sede Vacante coinage was struck during the interregnum between popes, authorized by the Camerlengo — the cardinal administrator who governed the Church's temporal affairs until a new pontiff was elected. Pier Francesco Galleffi held that office in 1830 following the death of Pius VIII in November, making this issue one of the shorter Sede Vacante windows of the 19th century; the conclave lasted only five days before Gregory XVI was elected in February 1831.
Galleffi came remarkably close to the papacy himself, receiving serious consideration during that very conclave before the cardinals settled on Bartolomeo Cappellari.
