| Obverse description | Draped bust of Prince Louis I of Monaco facing right, with long flowing hair cascading to the shoulders in the baroque courtly manner of the late 17th century. The effigy is executed in high relief, with careful attention to the lace collar and drapery folds characteristic of Monegasque portraiture of the period.
