| Reverse description | The armorial achievement of the Marquis of San Giorgio and Polistena occupies the central field, displaying a baroque cartouche-shaped escutcheon charged with a rampant lion supporting an inescutcheon bearing the arms of Milano, surmounted by a marquis's coronet of five visible arches. The shield is ensigned by an elaborate mantling of ermine-lined cloth draped symmetrically to either side, tied at the upper corners with ribbons. The date 1732 appears to the left within the legend, which is inscribed in Latin along the milled periphery. |
