Reverse description A large foliated cross, with a rose at its center and a decorative leaf motif in each of the four angles, dominates the reverse field, all contained within an inner circle. The circular legend FRANC·ERIZZO·DVX·VEN runs along the periphery, citing the reigning Doge Francesco Erizzo with the title Dux Venetiarum. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the cross, varying according to the mintmaster in office at the time of striking.
