| Obverse description | Central large foliated cross with a rose at the center and a trefoil leaf occupying each angle, all contained within an inner circle. The cross arms are ornately decorated in a Gothic floral style characteristic of Venetian hammered coinage. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the inner circle. The circular legend reads SANCTVS MARCVS VENET, invoking the patron saint of Venice, rendered in Latin characters along the outer border. |
