Obverse description Quartered heraldic shield of the Pico della Mirandola dynasty occupying the central field, displaying the dynastic arms divided into four quarters with an eagle, a lion, and additional heraldic charges, surmounted by a decorative mantle or supporters. The shield is rendered in the Italian Renaissance hammered style, with fine engraving detail. The circular legend surrounding the shield reads LVD·PICVS·II·MIR·CON·Q·DNS, identifying the issuer as Ludovico II Pico, Lord of Mirandola and Concordia. The coin is struck within a beaded inner border.
