Reverse description The Immaculate Virgin Mary is depicted standing in full figure at the centre of the field, rendered in flowing baroque drapery with hands clasped in prayer before her breast, set against a prominent glory of radiating sunbeams emanating from her figure. She stands upon a crescent moon resting on clouds, her head encircled by a crown of stars, consistent with the iconography of the Woman of the Apocalypse (Revelation 12:1). The surrounding Latin legend TOTA PVL·CRA·ES·, an abbreviation of the Marian verse Tota pulchra es ("Thou art all beautiful"), is distributed around the periphery, and the coin is bordered by a uniform raised bead edge.
