Obverse description Central field bears the pontifical coat of arms of Innocent X — a shield displaying a dove with an olive branch, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter, all within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential legend in Latin reads INNOCEN X PON M A IX, identifying the pontiff and regnal year, separated by pellet stops, with the legend continuing around the full circumference.

Reverse description Frontal half-length figure of Saint Peter, nimbed with a circular halo, shown bearded and draped in flowing robes, holding crossed keys in his right hand and a book in his left. The figure is rendered in a bold, stylised manner characteristic of mid-seventeenth-century Roman hammered coinage. A horizontal exergual line separates the lower field, within which the mint name ROMA appears flanked by pellet stops. The surrounding legend SAN PETRVS ALMA ROMA runs along the upper periphery within a beaded border.
