Reverse description Within a beaded border, a circular Latin legend encloses a floriated and foliate cross at the center of the field, its arms elaborately ornamented with foliage and decorative flourishes in the late Gothic tradition. The cross fills the majority of the flan, with the inscription referencing Alpha and Omega as the beginning and end, a common theological invocation on Sienese Republican coinage.
