Reverse description Full-length facing figure of Christ the Saviour, shown bearded and nimbed with a halo of rays, his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding an orb surmounted by a cross, symbolising dominion over the world. The figure stands against an open field surrounded by a circle of twelve small stars arranged symmetrically around the central device. A beaded inner border separates the central design from the circumferential Latin legend, which is divided by pellet and star stops and reads across the full perimeter of the coin.
