Reverse description The denomination inscription occupies the entire central field in four lines, reading 'I / SCHWA / REN:' in bold, well-spaced capital letters. A small rosette or star ornament flanks the numeral 'I' on both sides in the uppermost line. A decorative foliate or floral ornament is placed below the final line of text. The field is plain and uncluttered, allowing the lettering to dominate. The coin is enclosed by a continuous raised beaded rim consistent with the obverse.
