Obverse description Central field displays an ornate cursive royal cypher composed of the interlaced initials FPA (Friedrich Paul August), surmounted by a grand ducal crown rendered in fine relief. The monogram is elegantly scripted in a flowing calligraphic style, filling the coin's face. The entire design is contained within a raised beaded border running the full circumference of the coin. No peripheral legend is present; the identity of the issuer is conveyed solely through the crowned monogram.
